KC Summer Information
City Park & Ingleside Sites

 

Our summer program will begin on Tuesday June 1st at City Park Elementary School.  All lunches must be cold as we do not have access to reheat or heat food.  We will start providing breakfast and lunch on Tuesday June 1st.   This will continue through summer until Friday July 30th.   Breakfast will be offered from 7:30am to 8:30am.   Lunch will be served between the hours of 11:30-1:00.   Your child may bring an afternoon snack labeled with their name.

 

For the safety of your children we are asking that children wear tennis shoes on a daily basis or bring a pair of tennis shoes so they can participate in our activities and field trips.

 

Upon arrival at City Park School, we will have a sign in/out table placed just inside the entrance.  There will be a separate clipboard for each KC site (City Park/Westside and Ingleside/North City).  Please sign your child in/out daily under the appropriate school name.   Please initial at drop off and sign your name at pick up.  The main entrance will be through the main doors located at the bus drop off lane.  Please enter and exit through these doors only.  For the safety of the children when picking up, you must have a staff member call for your child from the commons area where you can wait until your child arrives.

 

Your child will remain at his/her designated site (City Park or Ingleside) for early dismissal on Thursday May 27th .  KC sites will be closed on Friday May 28th without reduction in price to prepare for our summer program.  Our sites will combine at City Park School beginning Tuesday June 1st. 

 

KC’s summer Adventure will be in operation throughout the summer from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. We will be closed on Monday May 31st and Monday July 5th  for the holiday with no reduction in fees.  Fees will be received on Monday only of each week unless a holiday and payments will be accepted on Tuesday. You must pay with exact cash or a check written to Athens City Schools.

 

We will be open at your child’s designated school site on Monday August 2nd from 6:00am to 6:00pm. All KC Sites will be closed August 3rd, 4th, and 5th to prepare for the new school year.  Our sites will split again on August 6th and will be open at 12:20 there will be no before school care on this day due to registration.  KIDS Connection will be open on August 9th from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at your child’s designated school site.  Before/After school care will begin again on Monday August 10th.

 

Kids Connection at all site locations will be closed May 28th  May 31st  July 5th and 

August 3rd, 4th & 5th

 

KC Summer Adventure Activities

 

Welcome again to our summer adventure!  We are happy to provide an exciting program for you and your child this summer. We appreciate your trust and allowing us to enjoy your child this summer.   Below you will find some important information about our summer program activities.

 

Our Swimming Program will be available for our students in grades K-6.  Each week you will find a list of permission forms for your child that will need to be filled out for each individual trip to the pool.  Please take time to stop by the pool sign in table located just inside the commons area every Monday and fill out the forms.  We will have a poster listing the names of children and their group numbers with the day and time they are swimming.   All forms will be in a notebook and the name listed alphabetically for your convenience.  Each child must have a permission slip to go swimming.  Please do not send any recreational floats or toys with your child.  Please see permission form for acceptable floatation devices. 

 

 

We ask that everyone please follow our policy and not allow your child to bring trading cards of any kind to KC. 

 

As you know we follow the Athens City Schools policy and we do not allow your child to bring their cell phone to Kids Connection

 

Each week we will continue to provide fun, interactive and physical activities for your child.  We have been planning for summer since early this year and if you have any suggestions or concerns please feel free to call 745-1796.
