Athens Regional Medical Center

Athens Regional Medical Center is City Park's Adopt -A-School sponsor.  The purpose of this program is the development of a positive, long-term relationship between the school and an organization in the community.  Activities sponsored by the hospital include exchanging Christmas cards, singing at the hospital during the Christmas season, ice cream parties, hamburger cookouts, speakers from various departments, purchasing 1st grade Minibooks, taking accelerated readers top 20 to lunch, and other special activities.  Hospital employees also serve as reading tutors during the school year.
