Welcome to City Park Elementary School. We're glad you have found us and hope that you will visit often.

Mission

The mission of City Park Elementary School, in partnership with the community, is to facilitate Adequate Yearly Progress for all student, as measured by Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program and the Athens City School System Benchmarks, enabling them to lead fulfilling and productive lives in a rapidly changing and increasingly complex society.

Vision

The vision of City Park School is to fully provide students the opportunity to be successful in our rapidly changing world through instruction, technology, and wellness based ideology that recognizes each child as a unique individual.

City Park Beliefs

1.We believe in providing all children the language arts, math, physical education,          fine arts, science, social studies, and technology skills which will enable them to communicate and function effectively now and in the future.

2. We believe it is in the best interest of each child in society for him/her to develop as disciplined and responsible individuals, showing respect for themselves and others.

 3. If provided opportunities for success, we believe each child can learn. Expectations should be held high, keeping in mind the uniqueness of each individual.  

4. We believe that in order to achieve an adequate educational foundation, each grade level is responsible for the required skills as outlined in the Tennessee Comprehensive Curriculum Guide.

 5. We believe teachers, parents, students, and community should share in the responsibility for each child’s learning and will facilitate this cooperation effort through various family engagement activities.
