Family Engagement Plan

GOAL

The major goal of Ingleside Elementary School is to make learning an alliance between students, teachers, and parents.  This belief is not only advocated in our mission statement, but will be pursued each day throughout the school year.  To enlist the support of Ingleside parents, our staff will continue an active campaign during student registration to build meaningful partnerships.

 

PURPOSE

The purpose of this plan is to inform our parents and community of ways in which they can form a working relationship with their school. An information packet containing the following materials is given to each parent on registration day:

  1. School Handbook

  2. School Calendar

  3. Grade Level Curriculum Benchmarks

  4. Family Volunteer Survey

  5. PTO Meeting Dates

  6. School Compact

  7. Title I Standards

COMMITMENT

Ingleside Elementary will provide an open door for parent suggestions regarding academic, social, or facility improvements. The PTO liaison and principal will meet monthly to pursue interests expressed by parents. Parents will be notified of all meetings and activities held at Ingleside Elementary.
