Text Box: Today and probably most days, I have many things for which I am most grateful. I get to do the most amazing job around...I get to work with wonderful children, an excellent assistant, and amazingly supportive parents. There are many other things for which I am grateful. Here are just a few of my professional ones…
Thank you to Dr. Rigell. He has been a terrific supporter of the Enrichment Program since coming to the Athens City School System. If you have a chance before he joins in daily golf rounds, please let him know that you believe your child has benefited from the Enrichment Program (if you do not believe this...please tell me first! I do want to Text Box: improve!)
Thank you to Janey Morris, Supervisor of Special Education. Mrs. Morris strolls in occasionally just to watch your children learn, but she is always willing to do whatever needs to be done for our students. Often, the Gifted Programs are overlooked when funds are rewarded. But since Mrs. Morris has been here, we have been equally “gifted” as other special education programs.
Thank you to Pete Harrell. Mr. Harrell arranges for our students to be transported to North City. This makes my job incredibly easier. I don’t have to worry about leaving something behind at a different place, or trying to Text Box: find a corner in which to work.
Thank you to the Principals and Teachers. I am notorious for scheduling meetings for teachers and principals at inconvenient times, but I rarely hear a complaint. I am sure there are many things they could be doing but they are always here to do what is best for our children.
Thank you to the PTOs.
I appreciate being remembered at PTO budget times. It is amazing the amount of supplies that 68 children can consume in a short length of time. I was “gifted” by two PTO groups this year.
And...thank you for all you do for me...for telling me Text Box: Thank You... Thank You...Thank You!
Text Box: Summer Enrichment Camp ~ 2010
Text Box: We are attaching to this note our final list of those who have registered to attend Summer Enrichment Camp. The camp will be from 9-3:30 on June 7—11th at North City School. Just to answer a few questions that typically occur…
Lunch is provided through the Athens City Schools Text Box: Summer Feeding program. You are welcome to bring a lunch if you would prefer.
Attendance is important We must maintain a certain number of children that attend more than 75% of the time.
Hours of operation will be from 9:00—3:30. However, I will be at the school around Text Box: 8:30. If they come earlier...I will use them for minor manual labor!
Showing off our work. We will be having a show and tell on Friday afternoon around 2:30. Your child should bring home a note with full details.
Thanks for all your help. I am sure it will be a great week!

Please check out our new website.  You can find it  either on North City School’s Home page under “Gifted” or the Athens City Schools site under “Enrichment”.  We hope to regularly update our information for you!
