Meet Your Teacher     

Mrs. Buffy McDonald                 

Welcome students, parents, and friends!  My name is Buffy McDonald, and I am a sixth grade teacher at Westside School in Athens, TN.  I have been a member of the Westside faculty for seven years.  I have actually taught for a total of eight years with my first year as a first grade teacher.  I am a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Science in Human Learning (1-8 grades).  I am currently pursuing my Master's degree from Walden University in Integrating Technology in the classroom. 

On a more personal note, I am a native of McMinn County and live here in Athens.  I have been happily married to my husband David, who is also a teacher, for six years now.  We have two beautiful children Keely-3 1/2 yrs. and Jonah- 18 months.
