Welcome to Mr. Carman's classroom, home of the hardest working students in Athens!

Our classroom is a self-contained special education class currently occupied by students, two educational assistants, and one teacher. The goal for our classroom is to meet the unique educational needs of students who possess disabilities that limit their success in the regular educational setting. With a more intense instructional program and a better teacher-to-student ratio, we hope to help all our students live up to their fullest educational potential.

Techniques and strategies employed in our classroom include but are not limited to:
     Sensory integration techniques
     Behavioral rewards/consequences
     Daily routines
     Team-building exercises
