MEET THE COUNSELOR:
Hi, I love my job as counselor for Westside and City Park Schools. I’ve been a counselor for Athens City Schools since 1985. At one time I was the counselor for all four elementary schools in Athens. Before that, I was a classroom teacher in Athens, Rossville, Ga., then Bradenton, Florida. In addition to the school counseling program, I manage the drug free program “Too Good For Drugs”, our peer mediation program, and I am the Athens City Schools Safety Coordinator. I teach psychology and education classes to adults, and state mandated divorce classes to parents. I have served twenty-four years on the CART team (child abuse review team), which serves several counties.
I have a twenty-four year old son, Alex and two salt water fish, whose names we continue to change. (identity crisis). My hobbies include outdoor activities such as golfing, gardening, and traveling.
MY EDUCATION:
BS DEGREE: ELEMENTARY EDUCATION UTC; CHATTANOOGA
MS DEGREE: PSYCHOLOGY/COUNSELING UNIVERSITY Of SOUTH FLORIDA; TAMPA, FLORIDA
