 Welcome to Athens City Middle School and the 2025-2026 school year!

A special welcome to our new students and families! We are thrilled to have you join our community and look forward to supporting you every step of the way.

 It is our shared responsibility—students, parents, and guardians alike—to become familiar with the contents of our school handbook. We encourage you to review it carefully. Should you have any questions or need clarification, please reach out to an administrator, instructional coach, teacher, or guidance counselor. We are always here to help and support you.

 We consider it a tremendous privilege to serve the students and families of Athens City Middle School. Our mission is to provide a quality learning experience that effectively meets the needs of every student. We maintain high expectations for academic achievement within the context of a challenging and engaging curriculum. At the same time, we are proud to offer a variety of co-curricular opportunities and activities, allowing each student to explore their passions and develop new talents.

 Your child’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. Our staff is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.

 We encourage parents and guardians to get involved! Whether through volunteering, attending school events, or joining our PTO, your participation strengthens our school community.
