PreK Registration 

  • Registration packets are available to be picked up at all school offices and the Administration Office located at 943 Crestway Drive.

Kindergarten Registration

  • Visit Athens City Primary School at 316 McMinn Avenue Athens, TN 37303.

Items needed to register as a new student at Athens City Schools.

All students are required to provide documentation of the following:

  • Proof of Age: Such as a birth certificate, an adoption record; an affidavit from a parent; or previously verified school records.

  • Proof of Residency: This may include copies of phone and water bills, lease agreements, or affidavits.

  • Health Records: This may include recent physicals and immunization records.

ThePre-K Program of the Athens City Schools is a voluntary program for children who are or will be age four on or before August 15 of that school year. Currently, there are seven Pre-K classes.

Registration Day for 2026-2027 School Year is April 6, 2026, it will be from 8:30-4:00 at Athens City Primary School. For questions, call 745-3862.

To register your child for the Pre-K Program, please bring the child's Certified Birth Certificate (optional), Tennessee Immunization Certificate, verification of family income, and two proofs of residence. A child entering Pre-K must be four years old on or before August 15, 2026.   Both parent and student are required to attend. 

2025-2026 School Year (A child entering Pre-K program for 25-26 School Year must be four years old on or before August 15, 2025)
