ACS CSH and School Nutrition are teaming up to share some helpful info each month. The month of October we are focusing on the benefits of eating Pumpkins. Tennessee ranks 15th in the nation for pumpkins harvested, with a production value of $2.2 million.

Kids Connection students have been learning about rescue workers. A huge thank you for Athens Fire Department! Students enjoyed seeing the fire trucks, meeting Sparky, and learning about their job. Students made thank you cards, wrote them letters, and gave them a special treat for all they do to protect us. The students really appreciated the time they spent talking and interacting with them! Thanks for the visit!
Following three trips to various city donation centers, the substantial donations collected were successfully delivered. Thank you to everyone who donated supplies and thank you to the Merriott family for delivering the items to our neighbors in upper East TN.

Instead, parents will complete the form online. Mrs. Amos's class celebrated their excellent behavior over the last night weeks by cashing in their dojo points for fun prizes such as going shoeless in the class, being a VIP student for the day, and choosing items from the treasure box. They even had enough points as a class to cash in their points for a pizza party! Way to go!

Mrs. Frazier's second graders cashed in their dojo points to be teacher assistants, have lunch in the classroom, bring a toy to school, and read to another class. The whole class celebrated great behavior with a pajama day and sweet treats!
3rd grade Gold Stars had a blast at Mayfield Farm today.
