Athens City Schools announces an abbreviated school day on Monday, April 8, 2024. This change of schedule is due to the timing of the upcoming partial solar eclipse. We wanted to provide an opportunity for students and families to safely enjoy the event together. ACIS looks forward to welcoming local author, Julia Erman, on Wednesday, April 10th! She is a devoted mother of two NKH Warriors, a cancer survivor, and founder of the Hazelnut Movement. Through the power of carefully crafted books, she aims to initiate crucial conversations and bridge the gap between children with special needs and their peers. Each page of her books warms the heart and leaves readers feeling blessed, as they learn how to start conversations and connect with those who have special needs. Students will come home with bookmarks with QR codes to purchase books for signing if they wish to have one.
