The ACMS volleyball team had the opportunity to participate in a volleyball clinic with the Tennessee Wesleyan Volleyball Team. The girls learned a ton and are ready for the first week of games!
What an amazing week it has been at ACS welcoming our students back! We want to give a shoutout to the best team ever. Students were smiling and excited for the day. From the buses, drop off/ pickup, traffic, kids' connection program, school nurse clinics, breakfast and lunch time meals, meeting teachers and classrooms, learning new schedules, and playing outdoors at recess. It takes everyone to make it possible, we appreciate you ACS staff!

Safety Update 8/7/25
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This morning, Athens City Schools was notified of a potentially armed suspect at large in connection with an ongoing investigation in the area. Out of an abundance of caution, we are utilizing our prepared safety protocols.
All students and staff are safe, and the school day is continuing as normal. Our School Resource Officers are monitoring the situation closely, and we remain in communication with local law enforcement.
