On our final day of our ACMS Cougar Experience, our students had a blast playing on the bouncy houses, an obstacle course tournament, and a kickball game out on the baseball field. The kids enjoyed LOTS of ice cream and pizza, along with sno cones from Tropical Sno. The kids have had a great 4 weeks of camp, and we hope they have an amazing rest of their summer! #ExcellenceIsACS

Athens City Intermediate School is excited to welcome Dr. Kristen Early as the new Assistant Principal for 2026-2027 School Year. Dr. Kristen Early has served in a variety of educational leadership roles. With a wealth of knowledge and a passion for education, she brings valuable expertise to her role. Before becoming Assistant Principal, Dr. Early served as an elementary, intermediate, and middle school teacher, RTI Facilitator, adjunct professor, and operations coordinator. She is a dedicated educator and leader known for mentoring teachers, leading impactful school initiatives, and presenting at national conferences. Dr. Early holds degrees in Early Childhood, Elementary and Middle Grades Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, and a Doctorate in Professional Practice. Her leadership focuses on student success, teacher growth, and building strong family and community partnerships.
