
FYI- Tonight's ACIS basketball game vs Waterville has been moved to Waterville Elementary. Girls at 6:00. Boys at 7:00.

Due to the change in the game for tonight, K-Kids will be collecting Stuffed Animals at the home game on Thursday, January 16th and Monday, January 20th. Students are also able to donate at school this week in the boxes in the gym.


Due to school being closed the January School Board Meeting that is scheduled for Monday, January 13, 2025, will be rescheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025, beginning at 5:30 P.M. at Athens City Middle School.


The PTO is excited to announce the ACIS Sock Hop, coming on February 7th! Get those 1950s themed outfits ready for fun with your classmates during the school day. 🕶️🐩👗👖
We will be bringing the Sock Hop fun 'Westside style' with several themed stations, which students will enjoy with their grade level friends.
We have had a donation of ice cream, but we need some other sweet treats and are asking for a little more help.

Boys - 2 liter bottles of Coca-Cola
Simply send the items to school with your child, and please remember we are a Peanut Free school!

ACS Family Engagement is excited to announce the upcoming systemwide event on February 4th. Valentine's Origami and Card Making will be presented by the Athens Isahya Sister City Committee and the Asian Culture Center of TN. Event Registration is required, class capacity is 50people. This is a free event, all ages welcome! Register with QR Code on flier attached.


Due to the predicted winter weather, Athens City Schools will be CLOSED on Friday, January 10. Kids Connection will also be closed. The Administration Building will also be closed. Stay safe and enjoy the snow day.


Have a house full of gently used stuffed animals? Need to clean out after Christmas? Or do you just want to do some good for others. K-Kids can help you with that. K-Kids will be collecting new or gently used stuffed animals at the home basketball games on Monday, January 13th and Thursday, January 16th to donate to the rescue squad for use at wrecks or fire calls. Donation bins will be located at the door when you enter the game. If you are unable to make it to a game, donation bins will be available during the day at school, so you can send those donations in with a student.


Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. We are so thankful for ACS School Resource Officers, Athens Police Department, McMinn County Sheriff's Department, Homeland Security, Tennessee Highway Patrol and all law enforcement. Thank you for your service and sacrifices you make. You are greatly appreciated.

ACS Coordinated School Health welcomed back staff this week with wellness baskets for staff to enjoy when they visit the staff wellness rooms. A reminder of the importance of staff health and wellness.





Mrs. Bri's class had fun today learning about New Years traditions, making resolutions, and celebrating the start to a new year. 🎉


ACMS Winter Fun Night is January 17th from 3- 5 p.m.


Rachel Cox, a District Science Facilitator from Knox County, is leading a curriculum immersion experience that showcases the shifts in science instruction. Athens is hosting with McMinn, Meigs, and Sweetwater joining the training.
