ACS Coordinated School Health is excited to partner with Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center this year. The mobile mammogram bus is setup today to provide ACS staff on site wellness services. This is one of many ways that ACS encourages staff wellness with routine wellness screenings.

Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing students return back to school on Tuesday, January 7th.
ACIS Lady Cougars lost 15-11 to Benton in the championship of the Bradley County Christmas Tournament. The girls came from behind to tie the game 8-8 at the end of the 1st quarter. Defense won in the 2nd quarter with no one scoring and going into half still tied 8-8. The Lady Cougars were able to take the lead at 11-10 but Benton was able to finish the game scoring the final 5 points.
Both teams return to regular season action on Thursday, January 9th at Michigan Avenue, then play their next home game on Monday, January 13th against Waterville. Girls play at 6:00 pm and boys at 7:00 pm.
ACIS Cougars came from behind and fought to the end to defeat North Lee and win the Christmas Tournament Championship. Scoring for the Cougars: Jude Hicks (11), Wylder McDonald (6), Eli Lawson (2), Elliott Sewell (2), Jaxon Key (1).
Are you looking for new ways to encourage your child to read over Christmas Break? Reading 20 minutes a day is so important for children to increase early literacy skills. We are so fortunate to have Let’s Read 20 in our community to support literacy and provide free books to children. Check out the public libraries and also the Let’s Read 20 Little Libraries for some new books to enjoy over break.

ACIS Boys basketball played in Christmas Tournament against Oak Grove. Cougars dominated with an 82-11 win.
Lady Cougars fought hard to win 29-17 over North Lee in the Christmas tournament. Cougars played well also today to defeat North Lee 40-25. With the wins today, both teams advance to the Championship game tomorrow night at Ocoee Middle school. Girls will play at 6:00 pm and boys at 7:00 pm.
