Athens City Schools was presented the TSBA 2024 School of the Year People’s Choice Award and 2024 School of the Year for Excellence in Architectural Design in recognition of the PreK-5 Athens City Primary and Intermediate School by McCarty Holspale McCarty Architects, Inc. and Design Innovation Architects.
We had such a good time at the Air Elite Dunk Show 🏀 on Wednesday! Our students earned this by exceeding our MoonPie 🌕 Goal. The event was full of laughter, dancing, and cool tricks! Our favorite part was seeing the kids AND teachers have so much fun 💙💛 Thank you for your hard work!

Sixth grade Mathletetes dominated at Mu Alpha Theta's annual Mathfest on Thursday, November 7th! Axton Powell, Alex Downs, and Madden Lingerfelt all placed on the 6th grade written test, with Emily Gao in FIRST!!! ACMS Purple Team won first place in ciphering-this team consisted of Alex Downs and Axton Powell. To bring it home, ACMS won first place on the Inter School Test! Mrs. Sjoberg, Dr. Robinson, and Ms. Peters couldn’t be any prouder of these 24 contestants!
