ACPS celebrated Wacky Tacky Wednesday for Read Across America today.




The ACPS PTO is excited to share our Spring Walk-a-Thon will be raising funds to purchase a Lü interactive playground system! This new technology will make gym time and learning even more fun. We are especially happy that it has special technology that allows students of various abilities to participate in play. We hope you will consider becoming a business sponsor or even sponsor a student's laps! All proceeds will go to purchase the Lü.

ACP and ACI will be having a Wacky Tacky Wednesday to celebrate Read Across America tomorrow.


Athens City Middle School competed in the Regional Geography and History Bee this past weekend in Franklin, TN. Here are some of the great results from the competition! Black History Month 2024 focuses on African Americans and the Arts. ACIS celebrated Black History Month with ACS students and staff in the arts. A beautiful dance by 5th grader, Knadia Watkins, songs by Ms. Angel Hardaway, Ms. Abriel Hardaway, and Mrs. Ashley Hardaway-Espey, dramatic monologue by Ms. Daelyn Waldroup, and speaker Mr. Joshua Bragg.

This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow Tuesday, March 5th, is a Professional Development Day for Athens City Schools, students will not be at school. Kids Connection will also be closed. Students will return on Wednesday, March 6th.
