Athens City Schools , in partnership with East Tennessee Children’s Hospital (ETCH), offers telehealth visits right from your child’s school clinic/nurse’s office.
These are virtual pediatric appointments conducted on school grounds.
They’re designed to help students get evaluated and treated for minor illnesses during the school day.
A pediatric provider from ETCH will connect virtually with your child with assistance from the school nurse.
🩺 What It’s For
Telehealth visits are for common minor health issues such as:
Colds or flu-like symptoms
Sore throat
Ear pain
Minor rashes
And other minor illnesses (based on school nurse and provider judgment)
Before any telehealth visit happens:
The school nurse will contact you first to confirm that a telehealth visit is desired.

Families must register in advance so their child is eligible for telehealth visits:
English Registration Form: https://forms.office.com/r/k7zaNBrTPQ
