Athens City Schools will be dismissing on abbreviated schedule on Friday, December 20th.
PreK- 11:45 a.m., K-2nd Grade- 12:25 p.m., 3rd-5th Grade 12:10 p.m., 6th- 8th Grade- 11:30 a.m.
Schools will be close December 23-January 6 for Christmas Break. Students return to school on January 7th. Kids Connection will be open December 23, 26, 27.


A group of K-Kids packed books today for Let’s Read 20 to be put in the Friendly Fellow Food boxes.

Dr. Andrew Kimball, Supervisor of Federal Programs, Technology and Safety, for being named ACS Supervisor of the Year.
We wish Dr. Kimball continued success as he represents Athens City in the Southeast CORE Region Supervisor of the Year competition for the State of Tennessee.

Kathy Jones: Department of Health Food Safety, Serv Safe Certificate, Level 1 School Nutrition Certification – Kathy had the highest score of the class of 75 students.


All are welcome to attend ACM Holiday Band Concert on Thursday, December 19th, beginning at 6:00pm. Admission is free, but donating a book for our Read 20 bus would be GREATLY appreciated! The students have worked extremely hard this year, so you won't be disappointed.
