All are welcome to attend ACM Holiday Band Concert on Thursday, December 19th, beginning at 6:00pm. Admission is free, but donating a book for our Read 20 bus would be GREATLY appreciated! The students have worked extremely hard this year, so you won't be disappointed.


Upcoming Dates: Athens City Schools will be dismissing on abbreviated schedule on Friday, December 20th. PreK- 11:45 a.m., K-2nd Grade- 12:25 p.m., 3rd-5th Grade 12:10 p.m., 6th- 8th Grade- 11:30 a.m. Schools will be close December 23-January 6 for Christmas Break. Students return to school on January 7th. Kids Connection will be open December 23, 26, 27.


Mrs. Smith's kindergarten had lots of fun decorating gingerbread houses for Gingerbread Day!











ACM students are invited to the Sneaker Ball on Dec. 19th from 7pm-9pm. Wear your favorite sneakers with your Christmas Dance outfit. You can dress way up or way down, but you HAVE TO WEAR YOUR SNEAKERS! The cost is $5/student and concessions will be sold!

First, we were treated to some incredible frog projects presented by our talented 3rd graders. Then, we headed over to ACMS to enjoy a magical performance of Frozen! So proud of all the creativity and enthusiasm on display today!

ACS staff attended East Tennessee Federal Programs Conference this week. It was a great week of learning and networking.

The ACMS girls’ team attended the ACIS game last night to support the future Lady Cougars!


ACS CSH and School Nutrition are teaming up to share some helpful info each month. The month of December we are focusing on the benefits of eating Brocolli. Did you know? Broccoli can help reduce infalmation, stabilize blood sugar and stregthen the immune system.


ACPS Pre-K and Kindergarten visited ACMS for a matinee of the ACMS Fine Arts Dept. winter production of Disney's Frozen KIDS!!
You can see this show tonight and tomorrow night, $5 at the door!
Friday there is also a chili supper and we will sell chili until we sell out!! $10 for the chili supper! 5:00-6:15!!
