May 1st is celebrated as National School Principal's Day. We are so thankful for all of our principals and the work they do each day for our students, staff, and community. ACS Principals are amazing leaders and their commitment to excellence is evident in the way they lead. Each and every day we are thankful for our principals but, today, we send a special thanks for another great year. Take the time to tell your principal THANK YOU!

It is without question that band is not only popular at ACMS, it is EXCELLENT!! These are our 66 sixth graders. Mark your calendar-The band concert is Tuesday, 5/6, beginning at 6:00. You will be impressed.
Mrs. Alexander’s class visited Pre-K this morning to read with Mrs. Dawnita’s class.
After two weeks of testing it was a nice break for Mrs Mayfield’s and Ms. Harrison’s classes to read with Pre-K buddies.
Congratulations to ACS staff members that were recognized at the Athens Chamber of Commerce Banquet last evening.
Dr. Andrew Kimball, Supervisor of Federal Programs, Safety, and Technology, received the Young Man of the Year award.
Mrs. Wendy Davis, Athens City Primary First Grade Teacher and Systemwide Teacher of the Year for ACS, received the Teacher of the Year award.
Mrs. Amos's Class had a wonderful time a Camp Oo-Tah-Nee-Noh- Chee today despite the rain! Thank you Coach AJ, Coach Davis, and Coach Stansell for making this day so special for the kids and teachers!
Class of 2025- Athens City Schools would like to welcome all former students back for the Senior Walk on May 13th. It will begin at Athens City Middle School at 8:15 am then will proceed through Athens City Primary and Athens City Intermediate school. A reception for the graduates will follow the walk.
Mrs. Sharp and Mrs. Weir's class had a great day at Camp Oo-Tah-Nee-Noh-Chee!
Mark your calendars to come out and support the ACS athletes this year as they compete in the Special Olympics on Saturday, April 26th at McMinn County High School. It begins at 10 a.m.
