April 22- 26 is National After School Appreciation Week. ACS celebrates this week and the great work that our Kids Connection staff provide to our students and families.
Important Update: The deadline to sign-up for Power up Acceleration Camp is extended. Camp will take place June 3 – June 27, 8:00-3:00 at ACPS, ACIS, and ACMS for rising K-8th grade students. Public School Volunteer Week is April 22-26. School volunteers give their time to help students thrive. Thank you for volunteering at ACS, we appreciate you!
ACS is excited to support our team of Special Olympic athletes that will particiapte in the Special Olympics event on Saturday, April 27th at McMinn County High School.
April breakfast and lunch menu is posted. Please encourage your child to start the day with a healthy breakfast at school. Reminder all students receive no cost breakfast and lunch this year at ACS.

ACS students have been learning about the solar system in STEM class. Look for more pictures of 3rd-5th grade next week. It has been fun learning about our Amazing Milky Way Galaxy.
Thank you, SFC Brandon Anderson, for helping us wrap up this week of military family appreciation with a focus on military children. Our students have learned so much this week about their peers who are military children and about military family life.
Thank you SSG Brad Hunt for visiting ACPS/ACIS students, today! You really inspired our students to hit the military section of the library! Thanks for sharing about the sub culture of military life. We will welcome one more Soldier, tomorrow!
