Central Office staff packed Nourish One Child bags this week. Thank you Keith Church and Nourish One Child for your support and partnership in providing the weekend backpack program for our students.


Thank you to Wilder & Free Farms for visiting Mrs. Amos' and Mrs. Frazier's 2nd graders. The students (and teachers) loved meeting Cinnamon Roll and Fluff Nugget!







Mark your calendars to come out and support the ACS athletes ithis year as they compete in the Special Olympics on Saturday, April 26th at McMinn County High School. It begins at 10 a.m.


Mrs. Reese's 2nd graders received a sweet surprise from her mother, Janet Lee. Thanks for the cute Easter chicks.

Japan Fest 2025 is Tuesday, April 22nd from 5:30-7:00 pm. It will be hosted at Athens City Intermediate School. Everyone is invited!

April 15th is "Purple Up! For Military Kids" day. In April we celebrate military children, this day is set aside to celebrate the important role military children play while their service member parents serve our country. ACS will celebrate by wearing Purple on Tuesday, April 15th.


Second graders loved learning about the honeybees today.




Ms. Gose, a local beekeeper, presented a program on honeybees to second grade students. She was assisted by Kellye Bishop, a member of the Cherokee Beekeepers.

ACS registration will continue for the upcoming 2025-2026 School Year for PreK and Kindergarten students. PreK registration packets can be picked up at 943 Crestway Drive. Kindergarten registration will be at 316 McMinn Avenue. Please see flier for more information.


ACS 3-8 grade will begin TNReady testing this week, which is a time to celebrate and shine with all they have learned this school year. Just a few helpful reminders- make sure your child gets plenty of rest, enjoys a FREE breakfast and lunch at school, and most of all encourage them to do their best!

ACS is setup at the Egg Hunt today at Athens Regional Park. Come by and visit our table! We also have PreK registration packets for 2025-2026 School Year available.




ACIS held their TCAP Pep Rally today. Students were encouraged by ACMS Cheerleaders and band, a Boot Camp Skit to learn testing strategies, a GLOW on the test dance, relay races, and a teacher race. Also introduced to the student body was the newest addition to the ACIS Family. Voted on by the students, we officially have Carlton the Cougar.
