These are our 4th and 5th grade student ambassadors. Throughout the year, they have supported our school in many ways, including helping with events, delivering food bags, cleaning, and welcoming guests and new students. They are always eager and willing to lend a helping hand!

Today, we got to celebrate our amazing Assistant Principal during Mr. Armstrong Day! He has served our school community well, and we wish all the best in his future endeavors!

Today we had the pleasure of welcoming our future ACMS 6th graders for their visit, and we could not be more excited to have them join our ACMS family next year!
We loved getting to meet so many bright, enthusiastic students and giving them a glimpse of all the amazing opportunities that await them here. We hope today helped build excitement for this next big step, and we can’t wait to watch each of them grow, learn, and succeed as part of our school community.
The future is bright at ACMS, and we are looking forward to seeing these students walk our halls as official ACMS Cougars next year. Welcome to the beginning of an exciting new chapter—we can’t wait to have you here!

5th graders enjoyed an afternoon at the ball field. McMinn Cherokees played in a black and Gold game for students to correlate with their ELA study of Jackie Robinson.

Today was a fun-filled day of learning at Healthy Horizons Day for ACIS fourth grade students! Students explored the importance of making healthy choices through hands-on activities and lessons focused on nutrition, mental health, sun safety, dental health, physical education, and taekwondo.
We sincerely appreciate the support of the McMinn County Health Department, TN Wesleyan University, Mr. Contreras, Coordinated School Health, and Bowater Credit Union for helping make events like today possible for our students. Their partnership and dedication create meaningful learning experiences that encourage our students to live healthy, active lives!

The last K-Kid project of the year was to use money from the dodgeball tournament to buy items to put into bags for the homeless in the community. Today Shower Bus #99 came to the school to pick up the bags and let some of the K-Kids tour the bus.

We’ve partnered with Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital to offer telehealth services for all students. Pediatric providers from Dolly Children’s are available to evaluate symptoms and recommend treatment through a virtual health visit —right from the school clinic using virtual health tools.
Students may be seen for fevers, sore throats, ear infections, allergies, rashes, pink eye, coughs, and more. On-site testing, such as flu, strep and COVID, is available when needed.
✅ Quick & convenient care at school
✅ Visits billed by Dolly Children’s to insurance (sliding scale available for uninsured families)
👉 Learn more or register your child at etch.com/schooltelehealth
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to your child's school nurse.
This is one more way we’re working to support student health and make access to care more convenient for families 💙

All Cougars Immerse in Stories reading initiative for this year concluded today with reward day. 19 top readers who read over 750,000 words went to camp for an extended day of fishing, canoeing, rock painting, bracelet making, roasting marshmallows and hot dogs, and lots of fun. 18 students who read between 500,000 and 749.999 words or 60 books went for a chilly day of water fun at the splash pad and an ice cream treat at Dairy Barn. Finally 48 students who read between 250,000-499,999 words or 35 books enjoyed a pizza party at school. Congratulations to all the students and we hope you keep reading all summer to get a jump start on next year.

Another successful dodgeball tournament for K-Kids today. 264 students were signed up to play with the winners and some add-ons playing against the teachers and then 5th grade K-kids getting a chance to take on the teachers.
K-kids would like to thank all the students who played and bought concessions, along with all the teachers who helped to make this a great fundraiser to help with their final project of the year and future projects.
