Cinderella Ball- 2/23/24
3rd grade celebrated the end of their novel study of Peter Pan with a popcorn party while they compare the movie to the book.
In Ms. Shanica's class for Black History month students have been learning about Madam C.J. Walker, George Washington Carver and Katherine Johnson. We have even read Hidden Figures. They each have picked one of the 3 to color and display for other students to see!

A great Friday morning celebrating with Athens City Intermediate on the news of Westside School being named a Reward School for last school year. We are so proud of our staff, students, and families!
Congratulations to the 2022-23 Westside students, teachers, and staff, as Westside Elementary School is named a 2022-23 Reward School! There are four hundred reward schools for the 2022-23 school year. We appreciate their excellence and celebrate this incredible accomplishment.

Basketball intramurals starts today. Boys teams 1, 2, 3, and 4 play today at 3:45. Parents are welcome to attend, but must enter through the gym doors at 3:45. A coach will be there to let them in. Be sure all students are picked up by 4:25.

Talent show ticket information was sent home this week. If you want tickets, send in money or use QR code on information sheet by February 29. Talent show in March 1. Tickets at the door are $1 more than presale.
ACS Literacy Family Night is March 19th from 5:00-7:00 pm. Join us for a night of fun with Children's Discovery Museum and TWU Education students. It will be hosted at Athens City Primary School. Everyone is invited to attend.
Thank you to ACS Coordinated School Health and School Nurses for providing free CPR classes to families this evening. We appreciate all that our nurses do everyday for our students, staff, and families!
