Some of the ACIS K-Kids were able to meet today to deliver the Christmas baskets they made for Athens City Police Department, Athens City Fire Department, and AMR Ambulance Services. Students wanted to wish the first responders a "Warm Holiday Season" with things to help keep them warm such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, soups, hand warmers, and gloves. Thank you to all first responders from ACIS K-Kids for what you do during this holiday season as well as all year long.
Please note that due to increase in illness in our district, Mr. Greene’s retirement celebration has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 3rd from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Athens City Primary/Athens City Intermediate School.
What turned out to be the last day before Christmas break ended with an exciting Kickball Intramurals Championship. Between the 1st two games, Mr. Armstrong fulfilled his obligation of singing "Let it Go" for the entire school because the students brought in more than 3000 socks for K-Kids Sock Drive. #ExcellenceIs
Athens City Schools will be closed on Monday, December 18th and Tuesday, December 19th due to illness. Students will return back to class on January 4th.
Kids Connection will also be closed and will reopen on January 4th.

ACIS K-Kids helped Let's Read 20 by packing 350 bags of books to be placed in the Friendly Fellow Food Boxes that will be handed out for Christmas.
Please note ACS Christmas Break is December 20-January 3. Kids Connection will be open December 20-22.
ACMS presents the Christmas Cabaret on Friday, December 15th.
Tuesday, December 19th will be the last day of school before Christmas Break. It will be an abbreviated day. Please note dismissal schedule. Kids Connection will be open on Dec 19th.
Athens City Primary and Intermediate School will be having Gift of Love programs. Be sure to bring in canned food items that will be donated to local food bank.

Mr. Geoffrey Freeman, Athens City Middle Teacher , for being selected to represent as the 2023-2024 Athens City Schools 5th-8th Grade Teacher of the Year.
We wish Mrs. Raper and Mr. Freeman continued success as they represent Athens City in the Southeast CORE Region Teacher of the Year competition for the State of Tennessee.
