April 2nd is Autism Awareness Day. ACS staff and students are encouraged to wear BLUE to show awareness for Autism.

Athens City Schools announces an abbreviated school day on Monday, April 8, 2024. This change of schedule is due to the timing of the upcoming partial solar eclipse. We wanted to provide an opportunity for students and families to safely enjoy the event together. Author/illustrator Jason Wallis visited ACIS today to speak and share his enthusiasm for writing and illustrating. Thank you to Mrs Kylene Raper for setting up the visit and allowing students to be introduced to and inspired by authors in our own community. Please consider supporting him by going to Amazon and purchasing his book, “Mr. Oneears and the Button Which Shall Not be Pressed.” It’s the first in the series covering the Fruits of the Spirit.

ACI TN Ready testing will begin on April 15th and go through April 25th. All test will be conducted in the morning and end by 12:00 each day. It is imperative that students arrive to school on time! We also ask that you do not pick up your child for appointments during testing times. Thank you for your cooperation!
