ACIS held their TCAP Pep Rally today. Students were encouraged by ACMS Cheerleaders and band, a Boot Camp Skit to learn testing strategies, a GLOW on the test dance, relay races, and a teacher race. Also introduced to the student body was the newest addition to the ACIS Family. Voted on by the students, we officially have Carlton the Cougar.

ACS is so blessed to have the best Assistant Principals in our schools. We want to end this week with a final shout out to our Assistant Principals. Thank You for the work you do in our schools, the many hats you wear, the servant leadership you show, and the love and care for students and families that is displayed on a daily basis. After a couple of months of sickness with kids and residents ACIS K-Kids were finally able to make it back to TerraBella yesterday for their monthly activities. The kids and residents painted stained glass decorations for their windows.

April 15th is commissioned by State of TN to be recognized as "Purple Up! For Military Kids" day. In April we celebrate military children, this day is set aside to celebrate the important role military children play while their service member parents serve our country. We appreciate all that have served and are serving in the Armed Forces. ACS will celebrate by wearing Purple on Tuesday, April 15th.

5th grade students were recognized for their outstanding work during the 3rd Nine Weeks.

Students in 1st- 5th grade had fun learning in STEM class about the food pyramid, healthy food choices, value of money, and portion sizes. Thanks to the Coordinated School Health mini grant for funding this project for students to learn hands on in the STEM lab.
We appreciate Jamie Elison with 2nd Chance Boxing visiting students in 4th and 5th grade at ACI. He also explained the importance of health and physical activity as well as discipline and respect. Thank you Mr. Elison for your visit and presentation.
