🩺 Healthcare Right at School! We appreciate the Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital staff for joining us at our Back-to-School Family Nights and helping families learn more about this valuable service! ACS partners with the Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital Telehealth Program to provide convenient care for common illnesses right at school. If your child isn’t feeling well, the school nurse will contact you for permission and help schedule a virtual appointment with a Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital pediatric provider. Parents can even join the appointment by phone or video! On-site strep, flu, and COVID-19 testing is also available. This service does not replace your child’s primary care provider. After the visit, a complete report is sent to your child’s primary provider to keep them informed. 💙 Convenient care. Less time away from school. Athens City Schools partners with Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital to provide telehealth services for all students. Through this partnership, pediatric providers can evaluate symptoms and recommend treatment via a secure virtual health visit right from the school clinic. If your child becomes sick while at school, this service allows them to be seen quickly without you having to leave work.
