Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in ACMS Fine Arts Department's spring production of Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. ACMS Mermaid Madness!! Bring your littles out to have a night of fun before seeing the opening performance of ACMS's Little Mermaid Jr.! Fun games, dancing, Photo Booth, character meet-and-greet, and more!! $5!! Kids 3-10! Parent chaperones are free (all children must be accompanied)! Dress in your favorite Disney or mermaid costumes!!!!

ACM students in Ms. Hall’s class proudly presented the book Our Town, Our Tales, created by Mrs. Hall’s 2025–2026 class. Throughout the year, students worked hard to write, illustrate, research, and print the book themselves. This evening, they were honored to present a copy of their work to the ACS School Board. Athens City Schools , in partnership with East Tennessee Children’s Hospital (ETCH), offers telehealth visits right from your child’s school clinic/nurse’s office. These are virtual pediatric appointments conducted on school grounds. They’re designed to help students get evaluated and treated for minor illnesses during the school day. A pediatric provider from ETCH will connect virtually with your child with assistance from the school nurse. 🩺 What It’s For Telehealth visits are for common minor health issues such as: Colds or flu-like symptoms Sore throat Ear pain Minor rashes And other minor illnesses (based on school nurse and provider judgment) Before any telehealth visit happens: The school nurse will contact you first to confirm that a telehealth visit is desired. 📋 How to Sign Up Families must register in advance so their child is eligible for telehealth visits: English Registration Form: https://forms.office.com/r/k7zaNBrTPQ Spanish Registration Form: https://forms.office.com/r/XDh54LLrmp For questions, please contact your child's School Nurse.

Athens City Schools will host a systemwide Family Engagement Fun Fair Night on Tuesday, March 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Athens City Intermediate School.

The event is designed to bring families together for an evening of fun and learning. Activities will include local artisans from the McMinn Heritage Museum from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., the ACP/ACI Book Fair Family Night from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and an ACI Literacy Game Night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Families will have the opportunity to explore hands-on activities, browse books, and participate in interactive literacy games. Organizers encourage all families to attend and enjoy a night focused on community, creativity, and learning.

Happy CTE Month! Our Career & Technical Education programs bridge classrooms and careers, preparing students with the skills, confidence, and experience they need for success after graduation.

So grateful for an amazing ACMS Black History Program today! Thank you to all of our incredible staff and student participants who made this program so meaningful and memorable. What we experienced wasn’t just a program — it was a beautiful reminder of the power of history, faith, and community coming together. A special thank you to Ms. Vanessa Hardaway for being our guest speaker and sharing such an inspiring message with our students.Your words were uplifting, powerful, and full of purpose, and they spoke directly to the hearts of our students in a way that will not soon be forgotten. Congratulations to the recipients of the Dream Achievers Award — your hard work, perseverance, and leadership are an inspiration to all of us. We are so proud of you and excited to see all that is in store for your future. We are also so thankful for the wonderful performance by the ACMS Band and our wonderful Band Director Mrs. Abbie Headrick, and a heartfelt thank you to Mr. Josh Bragg for all of his hard work and dedication in helping put this program together. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by people who care so deeply about our students and who pour into them with love, excellence, and faith. Today was a beautiful reminder that God is still working through our schools, our educators, and our students. It was truly a great day of learning, celebration, and community.
